For more than three years, I've run a roleplaying game campaign for some local friends. The setting is one of surrealist magic, and while we have focused on a player-directed, improvisational approach to the narrative it has nevertheless generated a campaign that is epic in scope.
We are putting together a three-volume collection that narrates the campaign itself, provides tools for players and game masters to poach for their own games, but most importantly provides an autopsy on what makes a responsive, player-directed game work well for a long-term campaign.
You can read the first three narrative chapters immediately, and we'll be releasing two new chapters every week, along with art from the forthcoming books.
