CONvergence Postmortem
We just wrapped up four days of gaming at CONvergence in Minneapolis, courtesy of Badwolf Adventure Studios.

Sadly, the Thursday Break!! game had no players; we're figuring out where the miscommunication happened. The fact that it got classified as a Kids game (that seemed to imply kids-only), and wasn't listed with the other Thursday games, combined with it being one of the first events, seems to have been the issue. Lesson learned.

However, Friday kicked off with a game of ARC: Doom. A real clock ticked down as the various clerics tried to salvage their god's festival day after discovering that she had died that morning. (concept borrowed from Our God Is Dead)
The players managed to puppeteer the corpse through the parade with no one the wiser, before finding replacement vessels for the many, many domains claimed by their deceased god (including, but not limited to: baby teeth, bees, alibis, dead languages, and salt).

Jordan was able to play a game of the Arkham Horror RPG with the brilliant minds behind Dragons, Dungeons & Drinks (Renee & Marcus); and he'll be running it at Volstead's this Wednesday: tickets here.

Saturday was a successful kids game of Mouse Guard; the mice took leadership of a town that was slowly flooding, and they discovered that a recent beaver dam was the culprit.

Finally, on Sunday, we ended with a bang with Flabbergasted!, a comedic romp in which the Peccadillo Civic Post-Hound Society, newly formed out of spite, planned its non-dog pet event across the road from the dog show. A particular high point was the hostess and owner of the house nearly getting thrown out of her own house for being drunk and disorderly.
A good introduction to CONvergence, and we look forward to next year!
